STUART CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH MINITRIES
With these ministries, we aim to make an impact locally, nationally, and internationally in many ways. These are just some of the ongoing missions and programs we currently offer.
And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
− Hebrews 13:16
Women’s Fellowship
Women’s Fellowship provides ways for our members to connect with other women spiritually, emotionally, and socially as we grow in Christ. It is dedicated to glorifying God by bringing women into a more intimate relationship with Jesus as Lord and Savior through prayer and praise, meditation, study of the scriptures, and loving fellowship.
Women of the church gather in the Fellowship Hall at 11:30 a.m. on the second Thursday of each month to enjoy friendship, a delicious lunch, and a special program.
Bible Study
Our Bible Study Ministry exists as a supplement to your Bible learning venture and walk with God. With weekly meetings, we strive for the progressive unveiling of the Lord Jesus through the fervent study of the Bible. Through the study and application of the transforming Word of God, we experience encouragement, love, closeness, and the joys of diving deep into the learning of scripture.
We meet every Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
Deacons Ministry
The Deacons oversee home and hospital visitation, financial assistance for members, worship, and hospitality. This group consists of deacons, ministers, and church members interested in visiting home-bound members. They help identify those who want visitation.
Worship & Music Ministry
Known for its outstanding tradition of excellence, music at Stuart Congregational Church plays a significant role in the spiritual and liturgical life of our congregation and community. We have many opportunities for you to get involved, plug in, and make music for our congregation. The music ministry aims to glorify God and foster Christian discipleship and musicianship through a program of choral and instrumental music.
Family Promise
Family Promise of Martin County is a non-profit, interfaith hospitality network providing temporary assistance, hospitality, and case management for families with children experiencing homelessness. SCC is a host church for Family Promise, led by the Missional Women’s Bible Study group. Along with them, we recognize that poverty is a multifaceted problem that requires a multifaceted response. Our congregation provides lodging and food for families experiencing homelessness for several weeks each year.
Outreach Board
The Outreach Board designates thousands of dollars to be given to local and international ministries, missions, and causes. This committee is responsible for the overall benevolence, giving, special offerings, and support for local, and sometimes national, and international causes. It looks for ways to match congregation members’ interests and skills with various projects and for ways to work toward enhancing and enriching our community.
Children’s Ministry
Our mission in Children’s Ministry is to show youth and children the love of Jesus through biblical teaching, to love one another as Christ Jesus taught us, and to live the joy found in Him. Our vision is to continue to grow their faith to maturity.
We would love to see you and your children worshipping together here in church. We encourage multi-generational worship before their Sunday school time, then off to Sunday school, where they will learn about the Bible in fun, age-appropriate ways.
We Hope to see you soon!
Worship Technology
Worship Technology creates and runs the slides for anything that goes on in the sanctuary, mostly Sunday morning services. We also take care of the sound board, mics for speakers and singers, cameras, lighting, and recording the services. We would love to have you come help us. No previous experience or knowledge is required.
Stephen Ministers
Bear one another’s burdens and you will fulfill the law of Christ.
— Galatians 6:2
Who are STEPHEN MINISTERS and what do they do at SCC?
Stephen Ministers are Christians who give compassionate care and Christ’s healing love to hurting people. They are trained to administer emotional and spiritual support to anyone going through a difficult life circumstance. SCC has five Stephen Ministers and one is always available to provide a listening ear and prayer after every Sunday morning service.
